Neurofeedback has absolutely changed our families life. Makell went from having severe ADHD- bordering on the autism spectrum, about 3-4 grade levels behind in her emotional maturity had trouble making friends, failing school, and extreme emotions, to on medication. She was on grade level with her emotional maturity and getting 4.0’s in school but high strung and tense/with not great self esteem. She went from not being able to read a sentence to reading a book from start to finish. Homework that would take 5 hours to get finished every night with so much crying to 20 min and she was done... but even though there weren’t the huge emotional extremes. She wasn’t happy. Since starting Neurofeedback in July- she was off all medication in 3 weeks- she literally just didn’t need it anymore and it was too strong.... even the smallest dose at 5mg a day. She is smiling and happy, her emotions are actually self regulating, she is maintaining a 3.8 grade point average. She had a rough start in school but has finally found her stride and has REALLY cruised with her Neurofeedback and emotional maturity. Like A-LOT. Most kids develop a ton in 6th grade, but Makells already matured the amount most kids do in an entire school year and it’s only been 3 months and we still aren’t done yet. It’s just been absolutely amazing. She actually talks and is present. There isn’t a constant distraction behind her eyes, like Makell has never been able to maintain eye contact with me. Ever. With or without medication. Now she actually looks AT ME. I feel like I finally get to see my daughter, she’s not hiding in her mind anymore. And then I was referred to Alpha NeuroHealth and it was like an honest to goodness answer to so many prayers. I no longer have anxiety at all and I can actually remember things like a normal person again! Daryl Lytle is incompetent . He cant even ask basic questions with out stammering like a 13 year old, "like like " and "you know what i mean " statements over & over . Sorry for the long statement, with bad grammar. Why they have good reviews is a mystery to me. 3 of my family went thru what they suggested. They stated 15-20 sessions for each, then in the middle Daryl states 25 is what adhd needs??? we all ended up at or around 30, with out them running the program like it says on their website. I must admit that I was initially skeptical about dealing with my attention deficiency by going to the Alpha NeuroHealth Clinic, but after only 10 sessions, I haven't been so motivated, focused, and wanting to learn at my University. It has helped me tremendously! And the doctor and all of his assistants are great, patient, kind and willing to answer any questions you have.

These guys are very knowledgeable about these studies. They explain everything to you in laymen terms and make sure you understand everything. Make sure to check your insurance for coverage, however if you can make it happen it is amazing the ways this will help you in every minute of everyday life.

The research I read said neurofeedback had a positive effect for about 4 out of 5 people, which to me are pretty good odds. I've tried a variety of treatments for depression and anxiety, few of which had any significant effect on my daily life. Neurofeedback was a new concept for me when I came across Alpha NeuroHealth Clinic on Facebook, though I've heard of biofeedback for lowering blood pressure. For those who are curious like I was, neurofeedback involves wearing a "magic hat" while watching movies transition from grey scale to color and back again, depending on the state of your brain waves, and you can pick the movie. :-) I did my research, and went in for a consultation. Now, this is where I really got hooked... they had real-time data to show me, and I'm nothing if not a numbers girl. My Z-score was 3.7 standard deviations away from the average woman my age. Didn't have to tell me twice my brain was kinda messy, so I decided to go for it. I was excited to hear that they accept flexible spending account cards for payment, and while they don't bill your health insurance directly, they do give you the form with the codes to request reimbursement, if covered. I started coming in twice a week for pyschotherapy/neurofeedback sessions with Dr. Lytle. By the 2nd/3rd session, I was seeing some improvement, and was having more good days than bad days, brain-wise. I completed my 7th session a few weeks ago, and my life has become practically normal once more. I have more mental clarity, which helps me pause and process stimuli rationally, rather than reacting irrationally. After my 6th session, I had another real-time brain wave scan to see my progress, and I had dropped from 3.7 stdev to only 1.7 stdev. The progress was real, noticeable, and has had a positive effect on the quality of my relationships, career, and my inner world. Less

This new version of nuerofeedback is at least 7 times more effective then the other place I went to. They solved my issue in 10 sessions when I was stuck for years. Nuerofeedback has changed my life I went from wanting to kill myself to waking up feeling happy. Life is amazing now and I am so lucky to be alive.
