I came to Dr. Nate being afraid to move because my back was hurting. We set goals and we started working towards them. I am happy to report that dr. Nate helped me reach my goals - to dance without fear to re-injure myself and to ride a horse without the back brace. Thank you, Dr. Nate. Mocha was great help too!
Virtual appointments and scheduling were extremely convenient. Matt guided me through increasing my flexibility and mobility post-shoulder surgery. It was easy to see weekly progress and he helped me get to the point where I could continue on with rehabilitation on my own!

I had attended another local physical therapy office for 14 weeks @ 3x a week with no improvement to my knee injury (I had torn ACL & multiple tears in the meniscus). We had very little increase in weight in that time & no one ever discussed my injury with me. Looking around the office, every single person seemed to be doing the exact set of exercises I was doing (which had never changed in the 14 weeks I was there). My surgeon & I decided I needed to have surgery & I was adamant about finding a different PT office for post recovery. I wanted the opposite of the office I had been at. I wanted something more personalized & I wanted to feel that the PT understood anatomy & how to truly strengthen my muscles surrounding my knee so that I could resume the activities I loved. After doing research, I immediately knew I wanted to work with Dr Kadlecek at Kadalyst Wellness and Physical Therapy. I was not disappointed! Every appointment was personalized to me on that day. He challenged me & my abilities in order to get my knee to a place where it was before the injury so that I can resume hiking & walking & simply keeping up with my 4 year old. I’m happy to say that after only 7 weeks with Kadalyst, I feel better than I have in a very long time & was able to hike recently with no issues. The environment was so welcoming & comfortable and every appointment was one on one. I can’t imagine ever going anywhere else for PT at this point. I highly recommend Dr. Nate Kadlecek at Kadalyst for physical therapy. He helped me with my lower back pain by designing and tweaking a good exercise program for me after learning about my health condition, my goals, and my exercise preferences. He is very knowledgeable and professional, listens closely and explains things well, and is upbeat and fun to work with. A great combination of traits!

I had a shoulder problem that Dr Kadleccek diagnosed and set up a workout plan to correct it. After 3 months of therapy my shoulders are doing fine now. He really helped me to gain strength not only in my shoulders but upper body and total body fitness as well. I highly recommend Kadalyst Wellness and Physical Therapy and Dr Nathan Kadlecek. I went to Nathan with a very painful almost frozen shoulder, after just 4 sessions, I have almost complete range of motion again. Dr. Kadlecek worked with me for several weeks in a virtual, shelter-in-place format (using videoconferencing software), devising a program of exercises to stablize a wobbly knee and strengthen my core to relieve lower-back pain. He customized the workouts to my needs and abilities, and equipped me with the tools and knowledge I needed to continue progressing.
I did virtual therapy with Dr. Nate for my back pain. He is a very pleasant person to work with and he did push me to challenge my limits but always with safety in mind. I definitely felt like I worked during my therapy sessions. My preference would be for in person therapy but virtual is a good option these days.

I was impressed by Nathan on our first session, which was before my surgery already scheduld,, strengthen the arm to minimilize some recovery After implant Nsthan fully explaned what was gojng on in my shoulder recovery process & implemented Movements to get the muscles activated & movements back. Thanks to Nate, my training regimen is much more focused. From diet intake to workouts. With two Ironman events this year, I wanted to make sure that my weight training was relevant to my swim, cycle and running workouts. My experience with Kadalyst Wellness for the past several weeks has been a good one. Dr. Nathan is encouraging and says he sees my improvement. He does push my limits, but I wouldn't do that on my own. He gives me a real workout and I leave my session feeling quite accomplished. Five stars if I stay motivated.

The thing I appreciate the most is Nathan's integrity. With many practitioners they say they can eliminate my pain. Nathan didn't make any of those promises and I appreciate it as I have lived with back pain since 1982 when my back was almost broken in an accident. So I've seen lots of practitioners in various disciplines over the years and still have pain. I've had lots of years to create stories about what I can do and can't do. That's where Nathan creativity and expertise has given me something others haven't which is just doing it. I once believed I couldn't carry any weight even to the point of not carrying a purse because of back pain. I am now carrying to 8 pound weights on our walks and my back pain hasn't increased given me something others haven't which is just doing it. Nathan has helped me get back to power lifting after a long time of dealing with lower back pain. I had a herniated disc at l5s1 and the first few months I would walk around with nagging pain all day with some bad flare ups but now im 95% pain free. Dr. Kadlecek wants to see his patients recover without surgery which was important for me. And as a strength athlete himself he understood that I wanted to get back to training ASAP. Would recommend him to anyone, especially those that are athletes.

I have worked with him as physical therapist and trainer to get me back to my top performance. After the first month, due to my insurance he became out-of-network. However, I was so impressed with him that I have been paying out of pocket now for 3 months. I plan to keep working with him as a strength and fitness coach, even once I am fully healed. At Stanford, I do minimally invasive surgery, so my patients do not need PT. However, if they did, I would hire Nathan to work with me and my patients at Stanford. Nathan is a SUPERB physical therapist. My back went out completely a month ago. I was in the worst pain of my life. I had a home visit with him where he got me out of my spasm with his calm presence and exercises. I had a follow up appointment with him where he showed me excellent back exercises to get me functional and back to work.

Dr. K—AKA Nate—took a look at my valgus left knee on a trip to San Jose in November 2017. My valgus knee—tibia was angled out to the left, putting my left heel about 3-4” to the left of where it should have been—which caused scoliosis and spinal pain in my lumbar region. I was pretty sure he wouldn’t be able to help due to the complexity of my issues. I was pleasantly surprised, though, when he came up with some stretches that greatly reduced the tension in my back. Straightening my valgus knee was not possible, except through surgical intervention. Nate was focused on relieving as much of the pain that was caused by the asymmetry between my left and right legs. He succeeded during the treatment, and he sent me home with tools for intervening on my own behalf until I could get my knee replaced. The original injury occurred in a high school football game in 1977, but a torn medial meniscus in 1980 was the origin of severe arthritis and bone spurs 30-38 years later that led to a Total Knee Replacement in April 2018. After surgery, though, I was expected to find a physical therapist in the Austin, TX, area, where I moved in 2016. I knew no one here, so I called Nate. It was obviously not practical for me to have Nate work with me long distance, but he did use his network of DPT colleagues to find a therapist for me who employs a similar therapeutic philosophy that he uses. I completed 24 post-surgical therapy sessions with Dr. Ben Morgan in Cedar Park, TX. I can now run, walk, squat, cycle, and many other things with no discomfort. Strength is gradually returning to my left quadriceps, and my lower left leg is quickly beginning to match the musculature of my lower right leg. Symmetry is a GOOD thing.
