I went in with knee pain and completely disconnected with why I was experiencing it. Richard asked me a few questions and he started to work on my knee right away. After a few mins of his routine my pain started to go away. He also provided some exercises that I could do on my own. I’m very happy and feeling thankful for Richards expertises.

Hallelujah some actual medical work and advice. I get the MRI the very next day and guess what - 3 herniated discs in the cervical spine and the one in the C6-C7 position is leaning on the nerves. Also I was experiencing hair loss, numbness in my feet, vision disturbances, and cognitive disturbances (these things were missed by my PCP and a dermatologist I went to when my hair started falling out so I am beginning to wonder if there are any decent doctors anymore) but I finally get diagnosed with a severe B12 deficiency which is super dangerous as neurological issues can be permanent and it was the cause of all the other things, but this deficiency affects the SPINAL CORD!!!! This is why in addition to the herniated discs, I had additional pressure and degeneration happening to my spinal cord because of the lack of and loss of B12. By the way I found this out when the spine surgeon from HSS who was about to do my disc replacement surgery (because, YES, my pain and desperation caused me to see a spine surgeon next because the pain that started on 12/25/18 was still excruciating by 4/16/19) and this surgeon wanted me to see a neurologist first. Can you imagine being incapacitated like this for 4 LONG MONTHS. If I hadn't gone to someone else who ordered the MRI and told me that even with a herniated disc leaning on the nerve, I should have been getting a little less uncomfortable in 4-6 weeks; I would still be dropping my $40 per copay for useless PT and Dr Au visits!! Boy do I wish I went to the spine specialist and spine surgeon first! Doctors - just because you've seen many things and circumstances, dont think that you can automatically KNOW what's going on for everyone you need to LISTEN and you are responsible for giving attentive and proper care and diagnoses. Have had chronic lower back pain from 2 prior surgeries. I really thought it would be awesome to come and see what they could do for me specifically, they may be good but there are major drawbacks: they do not accept major insurances from gov't, they overcharge >110 dollars for a visit at least, short 1/2 hour visits (max) and no real relief in two weeks. The Center has all the right equipment for really intense chiropractic work and that makes all the difference. I have regained the two inches I lost(Really! no exaggeration) plus everything moves so much better. The movement and range of my neck is greatly improved and my yoga practice has benefitted greatly. I just feel better overall. I had always been skeptical of some of the claims of chiropractic doctors, but I have seen clear benefits while going to The Center. Of course, being consistant and maintaining a good diet is critical as well. Dr. Fries is well versed in holistic care and makes sound recommendations for getting the most out of the work she does.
