Since I had a less than desirable prognosis I decided I had nothing to lose and went to meet him. I share with him my situation and my xrays and MRIs which he reviewed. He also had another 3d xray done to further assess the situation. We then discussed my situation and he pointed several issues out that the specialists had not looked at. Issues that would not be addressed by the surgery. Issues serious enough to be a good part of my pain. After this review he concluded he could help me without an operation and I decided to give this man a chance. I was in a bad state when I first went to him: I could not walk 50 feet without excruciating pain. I could not stand for more than 60 seconds without the pain. It hurt standing, sitting and even lying down in bed. I was on pain killers and lidocaine patches 24/7. I had also put on a lot of weight because I could not exercise or even walk. And so he started treating me. for 6 weeks I had 2 visits per week. During these visits he addresses not only my Spondylolisthesis issues but all my spine issues from head to tail. In the first 2 weeks the pain dropped considerably. By weeks 3 and 4 I started exercising again and walking. By week 5 and 6, while I still had some minor pain on and off, I was able to walking up and down the mountain I live on and fully exercising. Dr. Rickards also counselled me on weight loss and home exercises which have proven successful! I have been seeing Dr Rickards for 8 weeks now and I have no pain. None, and I lost over 8 pounds. Life is great again! Pain can lock you into a very dark place and it feels marvelous to be rid of that feeling and be able to enjoy life once more. I am now set to see Dr Rickards another couple of visits at 2 weeks interval and then we will see. I am so thankful to have meet him that I had to write about my experience. Dr. Ray is awesome. He knows exactly where the pain problem is and fixes the issue so precisely! I had a friedn who was hurt by a chiropractor cracking her neck, when I found out Dr. Ray won't crack necks like that, I was so relieved, he really is an expert in his field.
