today was my first class. easy to follow and they kicked my butt I love it, very friendly people who's all dedicated to help one another to push hard and for me I love a friendly Competition. gym is great and clean I highly recommend crossfit east coast class number 2 here I come!

VERY VERY HARD TO FIND AND THEN THE DOOR WAS LOCKED. HAD TO KNOCK TWICE FOR SOMEONE TOCOME TO THE DOOR. NOT VERY WELCOMING. THERE REALLY WAS NO EVALUATION EITHER JUST A FORM. FALSE ADVERTISING ALSO. NOTHING REALLY EXPLAINED ABOUT HOW IT WORKS.
I completed the 6-week challenge! Although I didn't reach my weight-loss goal, I did lose 7% of body fat. As long as you follow your meal plan and stay in a caloric deficit (for weight-loss goal), you will see results. The coaches here are friendly and super encouraging. The coaches and my peers helped me push myself to work really hard during every class.

The ad copy for the "free" 6 week course was very deceptive, as you need a membership to the facility that can run you over $200 a month and the only "free" parts are the nutrition and "accountability" parts of the program. I would have minded less if they were upfront about this but instead they wait until they have you in the door to reveal this part.
Just completed a 3 weeks challenge. I won the challenge; lost 13 lb and %4 boddy fat. More importantly, I cut drinking after several months of heavy drinking. Awesome experience. Wondering people.

Cross fit has been a great experience, the coaches are all very positive and help with any and all questions. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a fast and challenging workout. You can go at your own pace, and really push yourself through the work outs. Definitely Try the six week challenge for some great results and lessons on nutrition that will change the way you look at eating.

The gym is a bit hidden, it is inside of Bay Shore Athletic Club. It can get busy and packed but the coaches are great with getting to know each individual and helping them achieve their goals. The programming can get really intense at times but the results are worth the pain. Worth checking out even if it's just for a trail!
The coaches are great motivators and are there to push you when it is needed. They ensure that you execute the workout movements correctly and safely The work outs are exhausting but you feel like you accomplished something every time you leave the box.. After 6 weeks I am excited to say that I have lost 17 pounds and look forward to continuing to work out with CFEC
I've been coming to crossfit seasonally as part of training for motocross for 2 years and there is absolutely nothing like crossfit.More then that the staff and people at cfec are the best, they really want to help you improve yourself and chase your fitness goals. They have the best progressive 6 week program that I've seen. I highly recommend taking a 6 week course

I have been a member of CFEC for 6 months. In that time I have grown as an athlete and as a person with the consistent push and encouragement from the coaches. The programming is intense and challenging. But at the end of the day, what makes this place special is the energy and camaraderie of the people who go there. It's a great gym!

The other members help motivate and encourage you to meet your goals- it felt like one big family. The nutrition guide was great and gave a detailed list of foods to eat as well as a portion guide. Great program, great people, great coaches! Everyone is very helpful and supportive. I joined in May 2019 and completed the 6 week challenge. I lost 7% body fat in 6 weeks! I highly recommend East Coast Crossfit.

The coaches here keep you continually motivated and makes sure you do things correctly. The best part I liked about this process was that they gave me a fixed diet plan too, which helped me a lot. I look forward to pushing myself further.

I just finished the 6-weeks nutrition/fitness challenge, and it was awesome! I was looking for a way to kickstart my workout, and a friend recommended this program. The environment at Crossfit East Coast is welcoming and fun. The coaches are experts in their field, smart, and encouraging. The fitness part of the program is challenging for sure but tailored to different fitness levels. In a short time, I’ve notice how much stronger I became. The coaches and members are extremely helpful and will give you the push needed. The nutrition part of the program makes you look at food differently and smartly. You will never be hungry on this program. What you think you could never do without...you can. I found out that I don’t need sugar in my coffee. Intimidation does not even begin to describe how I was feeling. The movements were all new to me but again the encouragement you receive you can’t help but want to work to get the moves right. Members are all different levels of fitness looking to achieve different successes but everyone who workout at East Coast holds themselves accountable and always want to enjoy a great workout from the amazing coaches. There are similarity among members the one similarity for all the members is everyone just wants to be healthy! I stuck to thru the challenge had great, good, and bad days but I showed up and because I did I lost 5% body fat. I was thrilled! I am still a member I still hold myself accountable but I don’t step on the scale or measure anything right now because my goal isn’t to be skinny my goal is to be strong! East Coast coaches and members are alongside me helping me achieve this goal. They can be pushing me or just doing the same workout beside me struggling to get thru that last set but giving you that smile of we did it when you finish. By sticking to the meal plan provided and not giving up on the days I was to sore too walk, I'm down 17lbs from my initial weight and minus 8% body fat!!! CrossFit works! I did the six week challenge and lost 12 pounds and 8% body fat (which means I exceeded my goal, in turn making the challenge free of charge :D)..I started at 144.8 pounds and I ended at 132.6 pounds. My body fat started at 33.9% and I ended at 25.7%... so long as you are dedicated to the diet, and coming to the gym for the workouts at least three times a week, you will absolutely... More

Great owner, Great coaches, Great people and lots of fun! Try this place out. Only regret is not finding this sooner. Feel better than I have in years both mentally and physically. Never worked out before or been in a gym. The coaches work with you and scale things and very quickly I was losing weight, gaining muscle and eating healthier.

I personally can not afford it. I understood that if you didn't join you would get a refund of the $500 you pay.......still trying to work with them on it. I could not swing $130 a month membership, that is a little to steep for me. I had to join another gym that could accommodate my finances and schedule. Been about 3-4 weeks since I left cross fit east coast but still working out. Don't get me wrong they are a great bunch of people and you will learn a lot. I know I did. At the beginning it was all a foreign language, but after my first week with help from other members and the fab coaches, I caught on! I never thought I could do some of the things I did during those 6 weeks. I conquered the rope climb, which I thought would be impossible. There is a lot of classes offered throughout the day so even with working and a mom of 2 boys, I made it to 3 classes a week. The free daycare at Bayshore is a plus! Crossfit east coast offers a meal plan to help you on your journey to a healthier you! It helped me to encorporate more vegetables and protein to increase my energy. I feel great after it all. Coaches are knowledgeable and motivating. I like them. The community is also supportive. In all and all it's a good place to workout. I would give a better rating if it wasn't for an incident that affected my whole experience.

I have been a member for 5 months and am very impressed by the knowledge of all the coaches. The coaches pay very close attention to form and technique and are always forthcoming with modifications to meet anyone's needs. The members are so welcoming and friendly and the workouts are challenging and fun!! I am so glad I joined this gym!!
Went yesterday to meet with Ernie and he took his time to answer question/concerns. I’m starting tues morning and can’t wait to begin the training.
Every inch of me is aching. But it was the best workout I've had in years. The coaches are fantastic and I would recommend it to everyone.

1. How did the challenge help you? The challenge has completely changed my life. I have never felt so physically and mentally strong. It also reminded me how much I enjoy being physically active and pushing myself to places that seem impossible. I lost a piece of myself after getting married, pursuing a demanding career, and having a baby, and that was a really important piece that was missing. I feel complete again, and have a new view on what is important in life. For the last year, since starting the challenge, I have made time for fitness and activity, it is a priority now. I love that my three year old son comes to some of the classes, and asks me at home about rope climbs and box jumps. 2. What were your expectations the first day? On the first day I expected to be sore, feel overwhelmed, maybe cry, and possibly puke. But I was also hoping that being in the CFEC environment would set a spark for me, which it did. 3. What were your fears and how did they change? At first I was terrified of getting back into a “competitive” environment, and not being able to sustain what I used to be able to. I was afraid of failure, and I was terrified of facing the reality that my body just wasn’t capable of what it used to be in college, where I ran competitively (20 years ago!) Those fears have evolved as I have proven to myself that I do belong at CFEC, and I think I am actually in better shape today, aerobically and strength, than I ever have been, even more so than when I was competing at a Division 1 school. I know for sure I am stronger, and lifting weights I didn’t even come near. I was afraid of the rope climbs, afraid of the “rig” and all of the movements that came with it. Now I am more comfortable with those, and realize that I can perform those movements. Now my fear is more mental, I am afraid that I won’t be as good or strong today, as I was yesterday. I am afraid that my mind will win, and convince me to quit or slow down when it gets too hard. I am also terrified of anything that has the potential to take away from this fitness journey, if I have to get a new job, if my schedule changes and doesn’t allow for the same commitment. 4. What’s one thing that you did that you never thought you’d be able to do, but did do? I never thought I would be able to do a pull up. It took about 9 months to attempt, and I was able to perform three in a row. I am trying to incorporate them now into WODs when it makes sense. 5. How do you feel now as compared to a week before started training at CFEC? Coming into the challenge I knew I wanted to make a change and commit to health, I was struggling with how to do that and where to prioritize. I had a Y membership but was not getting the results I wanted. I am a completely changed person. My diet has improved dramatically, and fitness is a priority. I have lost 45lbs and have come off of blood pressure medication. I feel clearer and more level headed than I have ever been, and have a new respect for myself and my abilities. I love to be a healthy role model for my son, and encourage him to eat healthy and run whenever possible. I have new priorities, like getting to bed before 9pm so I can be up and ready for 530 am class! The CFEC community is so supportive and welcoming, having people like that to help you through makes it easier to get out of bed for that 530 class. Less

The coaches think I can, even when I think I can't! The friendly and supportive environment make it easier to get up before the sun to get my WOD on. Amazing!

It appears that three stars appeared as my rating when there is NO WAY I agree with that!!! FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!!! I have been a private client for almost a year and the programming is amazing. The progress I have made in such limited time has surprised me... The coaching and community is what really stands this box apart!! I love it here and can't imagine life without :)
