I'm not big on leaving reviews. I made the decision to move forward with this review just in case someone is in the same situation I once was in and reading my review will help them. I wanted to wait before writing a review to give my honest opinion and experience. April 2024 will mark 2 years since having my procedure. Dr Patel and his team changed my life. By the grace of God and holding on to the last bit of hope I had left. I felt so helpless to the disease. Yes! I refer to the fibroids as a disease because that's what they were. Three long years I endured heavy bleeding, pain, weight gain, hormonal changes, and had to partake in many blood transfusions. The only option my OB gave me was having a hysterectomy. I'm not against that, but having that as an ONLY option was not ok for me. I prayed and researched looking for help. Thank God my insurance allowed me to seek medical attention outside the state of Mississippi. If this is something you are considering take this as a sign not to wait any longer. Dr Patel and his team handled everything so smoothly and took great care of me. Any questions I had were answered during consultation. The only thing I would change is having my procedure done at a hospital and stay over night. Only because being a nurse myself , I would have felt more comfortable being taken care of by a professional. My husband handled all of my post op care. He was amazing every step of the way. As far as the pain. Let's just say there will be some pain during and afterwards, but Dr Patel ensured I had everything I needed pre op to control the pain and nausea. I did have a hard time getting my bladder to wake up after local anesthesia. That is one of my reasons I would have op for doing it inpatient. You are not put to sleep which freaked me out lol. I was able to hear everything that was going on with minimum pain (yes there was some pain in my shoulder). The procedure was noninvasive and accessed using an artery in my wrist. But, it was worth it! I have very minimum bleeding with hardly any pain. Thank you Dr Patel. Less

I can tell you that this has been absolutely the best experience with any Doctors office in general the staff is amazingly helpful kind, attentive, knowledgeable and empathetic, Dr. Patel himself is genuinely in a field he loves. My first visit with him was welcoming he really heard what I said. Leading up to my Surgery Marjorie made my heart melt because of her dedication, kindness attention I mean I really have no words to truly to describe my experience with her, Exquisite. I never felt anything but confident when talking to her. After my surgery I received several phone calls from the doctor himself to check on me it made me cry because most doctors don’t even really speak with you after they have someone else explain what is going on or tell you to go to the hospital if something happens. First off, the care that Dr. Patel and his staff provides is a couple of notches above excellent… They are genuine and caring, professional yet personal, the way providers use to be back in the day (now people are just looking for the money)… From my first encounter with them, they treated me like family, like when I was about to hang up I would catch myself saying “ Love you girl, ttyl!!!” 🤣🤣🤣 Now, to the surgery… I was treated like “I mattered” I expressed my fears and every expectation was met… I was handled so gentle and loving that I truly don’t remember it, I remember being walked through it but I was so relaxed, it was a walk in the park… I did get a little nauseated after the surgery but soon as I took my zofran, I was good… I spent the remainder of the day and the next day recovering and that was the just of it for me (in no fashion am I suggesting do this, I’m speaking solely for myself👌🏾) Day 3 I was back to work… I had mild cramps that I relieved with some ibuprofen, I never used the prescribed narcs… Dr Patel called me EVERY night for almost a week straight to monitor my healing process and was just as impressed as I was with the outcome… Post surgery, I bled two years straight with no relief and their only solution was a hysterectomy…. Dr Patel solved it with minimally invasive surgery and he saved my life!!! Dr. Patel and his staff are an AMAZING staff! He is compassionate, skillful and a very professional physician who genuinely care for all his patients. Do not second guess your decision to be under their care. My UFE procedure was scheduled back in May. I can honestly say my procedure went well. However, my recovery period was not the best. I experience several side effects post-op for six weeks. The first three months after the procedure, I monitor my symptoms. The major symptoms that I had prior to the procedure were no longer a nuisance. If you ask me today about my symptoms, they have returned. It is like my fibroids rested for four months and are now presenting themselves as if they have not been treated. I am experiencing every major symptom prior to the surgery again!! I am depressed and sadden as to what is happening to me again. My second MRI showed they have slightly shrunk. Unfortunately, the one that sits in the cavity of my uterine and on my bladder still gives me issues. Now, I must consider surgery to have them remove. I will never advise a person not to consider UFE, but if you have larger fibroids as well a fibroid to sit in your uterine cavity, I strongly recommend all patients to research their options carefully before you consider this procedure. There is a possibility that you will have to schedule surgery with your GYN to have the submucosal fibroids remove. Less

I had my uterine fibroid procedure on 7/22. Dr. Patel have called and checked on me daily. He is very attentive to his patients. I’m glad I chose his practice.

Where do I start This Dr. and his team are beyond awesome. They are professionals that show they care. My procedure was excellent. They made me feel comfortable at all times. Even called me daily to make sure I was good. I was denied a similar procedure due to my weight. This doctor didn't even ask me about my weight. His concern was more about my health. Overall 5 plus stars from me

Okay... it's been a couple of months since I had my fibroid embolization procedure and I couldn't be happier! I've had 2 periods since the procedure and I've been able to actually leave my house. I think I've used like 6 tampons total. Dr. Patel truly changed my life so if you're on the fence about getting it done, DO IT! I really wish I would have done it sooner. Don't be me. Do it now!

Dr Patel Prescribed 5MG Of Oxycodone For Post UFE Surgery. I Was Already Not Getting Sufficient Pain Relief From 10MG Of Oxycodone Before I Ran Out Before UFE Procedure. I Just Believe When It Comes To Surgery & Pain No Matter What Type Of Opioid Epidemic The Country Is Facing, 5MG Of Any Pain Medicine Post Procedure, Is Not Strong Enough. Dr. Patel is an excellent doctor who is very knowledgeable and cares for his patients. I had the UFE procedure done in November and I’m so thankful I did. I’ve suffered from my teenage years with heavy periods, sever pain where I would faint in school and it was many days of bleeding. I had been diagnosed with endometriosis, fibroid and adenomyosis. I had laparoscopic surgery for the endometriosis and it helped but in the recent years I developed a fibroid and adenomyosis which can happen to women in their late 30’s early 40’s. Dr. Patel immediately ordered an MRI and he said UFE could help me very much. I am so thankful to The Lord I went through with this procedure, my gynecologist had told me my only solution was a total hysterectomy 😱. I knew I was not ready for that!! Dr. Patel was there for me to tell me that would not be necessary. Now I’m on the second month since my procedure and I have no pelvic pain, no heavy bleeding and shorter period of only 5 days! I want to thank the wonderful nurses and techs that work with Dr. Patel they show excellent care for patients. Great team!! Ladies reading this if you are suffering from fibroids this is the doctor you want and UFE May be right for you.call the office and speak to Marjorie she will go above and beyond to help you and get you scheduled. This place is literally life changing, the procedure has greatly improved my quality of life and the staff is so sweet they sent my husband home with a care package for me after my surgery.
