Benny's Tree, a local tree service company, seemed promising when I first contacted them. They quickly came out to my property to provide an estimate on some tree work I needed done. They were polite and professional during the visit and gave me a reasonable bid. They even said they would be able to come out and complete the work that weekend. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience with this company ends. Despite giving me their word that they would complete the work that weekend, Benny's Tree never showed up. They didn't call or let me know what was going on, leaving me to wonder what had happened. I tried to contact them multiple times through phone calls, text messages, and voicemails, but never received a response. The lack of communication was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I later discovered that I wasn't the only one who had been ghosted by Benny's Tree. Other customers have reported similar experiences of the company not showing up for scheduled appointments and failing to communicate with them. One customer had received a bid to remove a tree before an upcoming ice storm. They suspected that Benny's Tree was price gouging customers and may be a fly-by-night company. They even had to threaten to report them before they honored their bid. Another customer had scheduled an appointment with Benny's Tree and received a text reminder just a couple of hours before the appointment. They even left work early to be home for the appointment, but Benny's Tree never showed up or contacted them. Based on my experience and the experiences of other customers, I strongly advise against using Benny's Tree for any tree service needs. Their lack of communication and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. It's a shame because they seemed nice on the phone and provided a reasonable estimate, but it's not worth the risk of being left in the lurch. Less

No show No call after sending multiple text reminders to me, even one text 2 hours before my appointment. Scheduled this appointment a week out and left work early to be home for when they would be arriving but they never showed or reached out that they would be late or had to reschedule.

I would like to share the excellent experience I had with Beny’s tree service. We contacted them thru their Facebook page about two weeks ago for a bid to remove a couple trees and trim several others. They contacted me immediately and had someone out for a bid in just a couple days. We felt the price was very fair compared to other bids we received. To our surprise they said they could schedule us in about a week. Another company told us it would be 6-8 weeks. From the time of the bid until the day of the work, they stayed in touch and communications were excellent. Yesterday morning a 5 man crew arrived about 30 minutes early. They walked around with me and reviewed all the work to be done. The trees that were to be removed were very large and hanging over our pool, fence and the edge of the neighbor’s fence. We were very concerned about risk of property damage. However, they were extremely careful and lowered all the limbs by rope to avoid damage. We were amazed how quickly they took down the trees. They had to haul all the remains uphill to the street to their chipper, which was no fun on a hot day. Every man on the crew hustled throughout the day. Frankly they worked their tails off. They were all very friendly and took care of all our requests. I even contacted Beny during the morning about getting a few old stumps removed. He had a man out there within an hour to do it for a fair price. Late in the afternoon, the foreman let me know they were finished. Everything was cleaned up very well, their gear was all loaded and I imagine they were ready to head home for the day. However I realized they missed trimming one tree, probably due to miscommunication on my part. The foreman very cheerfully said no problem and they immediately sprang back to work and took care of it. They again did a great job of cleanup afterwards. I’m a very tough grader and I don’t often give 5 star reviews but Beny’s Tree Service did an excellent job (5 stars plus) and exceeded my expectations. it was a pleasure working with them. Very poor customer service and no effort was made to assure us our time they had wasted was indeed valuable and ask us to reschedule to a different day. No effort at all, so disappointed. Found them via a Facebook deal and was a little skeptical just based on price, but the reviews were great so I decided to try it out! I had them clean up the trees from my roof line, and they also cleaned the gutters. They were incredibly professional, called to see if they could come early, and did the job quickly and all looks very nice. I'll definitely use them again.

Great experience. Had them over for just a quick roof clearing. They were running about 5 minutes late of our appt time which would have been no issue at all, but they went the extra step to text and let me know they were 5 minutes late. They called to say they would arrive in 30 minutes, but never showed up. They will not answer their phones or respond to text and it has been over 3 hours. Irresponsible business that has no concern for its customers.

Called to have a tree limb hauled off and agreed on a time and pricing. They then called and said they would arrive in 30 minutes, but never showed up. It is now almost three hours past the time they were supposed to arrive and they are not answering phones or replying to text. I tried to reach them 17 times in the past two hours.

The oak they worked on is a registered, historical oak. In 1974, when it was registered, and given a medallion market, the city arborist estimated the age of the tree to be between 600-900 years old. The work Manuel’s crew did preserved the major limb structures, while raising it off our roof. Other tree service workers years ago, left the tree with limbs looking amputated. This crew was so careful, removing smaller branches and making very careful cuts. They got the leaves of the roof, gutters and blew the porches clean.
