I'm not working with anyone. I'm a customer that's been dissatisfied since November '22. To summarize the lengthy review I'm about to write: Take your business elsewhere. This company will promise you peace of mind, assure you that after one treatment your problems will all be solved. Then they'll take your money, do the bare minimum, then leave you hanging. Their 90 day warranty is a joke (bed bugs can survive more than 6 months between feedings -- a fact I picked up from the owner, Chris!), and their heat treatment was not thorough at all. in Nov. '21 it became apparent we had a bad infestation. I called around and BBBBQ was the quickest to respond and said they could help us out in just a couple days time. That sold me on it. After inspecting, they quoted about 6,000 which included followup bio-pesticide treatments as well as furniture removal. Within 48 hours of the treatment? I found live specimens in areas that they said had been treated appropriately with heat. I called them. They fed me some line about "zombie bugs" and assured me they would die in a day or two's time ( there is no residual effect to heat treatment.) So having captured them? I observed them. A week went by and the 4 specimens I had captured were still moving. So after about a month and a half I convinced them that they had an obligation to fulfill. So they came out for the follow up pesticide application. They were in the house (4 bedrooms, 2 and a half bath, 2 living rooms mind you-- not a small house) for maybe 10 minutes spraying before they left. They explained to me that the bio-pesticide was active for up to 90 days, and would take 21 days from the TIME OF CONTACT to kill. Which did not sit well with me, as by the time they came out to apply we were halfway through the 90 day guarantee. Lo and behold about 2.5 months later, I feel an itch on my arm, look down and see a bed bug crawling away. At this point we're outside the warranty, I called them anyway. Explained that the warranty limitations should not be binding in this scenario since I found live specimens just a couple days after treatment-- which indicated the heat treatment was obviously not thorough therefore not effective as advertised. So they came out again. This time begrudgingly-- acting as though they were doing us a favor by honoring our request outside of the time of warranty-- despite the fact that they never finished the job as advertised (and paid for! No one's paying 6 grand for an incomplete job!) in the first place. They sprayed, again for roughly ten minutes. Then they were gone. That was, I believe the middle of March or April '22. It's now July '22 (about 3-4 months since the last pesticide treatment) and wouldn't you know I've started noticing bite marks on my body and have even found a live specimen. Were it not for the fact that within days I had located live specimens? If there had NOT been evidence of a less-than-thorough job (unmelted candles in a room 5 or 6 feet away from melted candles and aerosol cans we missed during preparation-- indicating their occupied space did not reach the temperature required to kill the bugs in the specified time frame?) I might believe that I've just been really unlucky and have brought home bed bugs three times in the last year, despite having never even seen one in person in 35 years of life. However those two factors tell me CLEARLY these guys aren't doing the job as well as they're saying they will. And sure, maybe only a small number are surviving... But that's all it takes. After their exponential growth reaches a critical juncture? What do you know, it'll be time to shell out 10% of my yearly wages again! Less

The itching was horrible, and it was too early for mosquitoes. When I do laundry, I just strip the bed and wash. But after this itching, my husband and I stripped the bed together. Both of us looked for any kind of bug or stain that might confirm a bite of some kind. We took off and looked at both sides of cover. No bugs or evidence of either. Down the laundry chute it went. We then checked both sides of top sheet, and both sides of bottom fitted sheet before sending it down laundry chute. Nothing there. Next we took off mattress pad; inspected both sides with no evidence of any type of insect or bug. Then we both examined mattress. I had looked online for hints of how to recognize evidence of different types of bug. Our mattress was totally clean; no bugs; no stains. We breathed a sigh of relief and put clean bedding on bed. My husband had not gotten any bites, hives or anything. I went to Urgent Care and they couldn't figure it out either, but I do have allergies and we agreed it was a good idea to make an appointment with an allergist to see what was causing this). When we returned from our week away, I turned back the cover and saw a tiny bug. Yuck! I was totally creeped out. I killed it, then picked up the cover some more and saw another one!! This was exactly what pics of bed bugs looked like. I woke my husband up; he had already fallen asleep, and told him we needed to sleep in another room. Can not begin to tell you how horrible this whole thing was. Besides the ick factor, it's embarrassing and not something that can be easily shared. I have no idea how or when a bed bug hitchhiked to our house. My husband slept, but I researched the entire night to find out how to get rid of these uninvited and unwelcome "guests." I found Bed Bug BBQ online, along with some other local companies. But Bed Bug BBQ's method of getting rid of these bugs was unique and guaranteed to work after a one day treatment. My next step was to call the company. A woman named Vicky answered my call. She was wonderful. So patient. So compassionate. I almost started to cry a few times because this was such a nightmare. But she reassured me there were other clean households that had dealt with the same nightmare, and how effective this company was. And she gave my name to a technician to come out for a free inspection. Later that day, I got a call from their technician and Strategic Heat Facilitator, Dan Marlowe. He scheduled an appointment for a free inspection the next afternoon. He confirmed what I had found. He further explained the service and the guaranty. He was professional and easy to talk to. He did not pressure us at all. My husband and I knew this is the way we wanted to go. This was on a Tuesday. We were able to schedule Thursday for the heat treatment to take place. There was a checklist of what we needed to do prior to the treatment. And there was a lot for us to do before and after. Dan showed up with his helper promptly at 7:45 am. I believe his helpers name was Ron or Ronnie. My husband and I packed up our dog and left for the day. We returned at 3:30 pm to lock up the house. It had been heated to 150 degrees and you could've roasted an egg on our upstairs railing! We had been warned ahead of time that we should make arrangements to stay elsewhere for the night because of the intense heat and had made plans to spend the night with my daughter. Dan was calm, kind and reassuring. The next day I called him with a question and he immediately got back to me. I cannot recommend this company strongly enough. Although the heat machine killed bed bugs, it did not get them all. Called the company the very next morning all they said was they had to talk to the owner and get back to me to see what they could do. They never got back to me nor answered my call after that. Don't waste your money.

I called for an estimate , knowing that some businesses will come and tell you "in need of this and that" . Not here at BedBugBbq, they called back extremely quick . So nice and patient on the call . Chris used an extremely bright light and a powerful magnifier and declared that I DID NOT HAVE BED BUGS! He took a picture of what he found and showed me a website that matched the picture to carpet beetles. They can be carried in on cut flowers and various other methods of transport. The treatment is thorough vacuuming of the site. No treatment necessary. I offered him some money and he absolutely would not take it and suggested I donate it to the Lakewood Alive program. He then put my bed back together for me and carried the old set of box springs downstairs and put them on my porch. Said he would come back around on trash day and set them at the curb for me. I called on Monday night and Chris came out for a free inspection Tuesday when I was home from work. Chris did a very thorough inspection and answered any questions that I had. He did not try to sell me services that I didn’t need, in fact he said that even if I wanted to pay for a heat treatment just to put my mind at ease, that he wouldn’t because I truly didn’t have a bed bug issue. Greetings. I had BBQ come to my house on 12/13/19 to do a heat treatment. Both individuals stated there was no problem with them and had be take down, but leave in the room, just a few blinds. I came back at the end of the day and was unable to open/close the blinds in the kitchen. I could raise them up and down however I could not tilt them, no matter what i tried. Then I took the following steps. 1. I ordered new blinds, similar and less expensive then the current ones. 2. On 12/17/19 I ordered the new blinds, after unsuccessfully attempting to tilt them, no matter what I tried. 3. On 12/17/19 I emailed Chris Gonda the receipt for the blinds along with an explanation, asking for a credit towards my purchase of his services for the cost of the blinds. 4. On 12/17/19 I emailed Chris Gonda again with a more complete explanation of what had transpired. 5. On 12/17/19 I received a reply from Chris stating that he would call me tomorrow, 12/18/19. 6. I immediately emailed Chris back stating I would prefer to handle this via email so there was no confusion. 7. I did not receive an email back from Chris. 8. On 1/1/20 I again emailed Chris asking for a credit towards my purchase. 9. To date, 1/7/20 I have not heard back from Chris either by phone or email. The guys came (in unmarked vehicles) and treated our cars while we finished getting ready to head out and they were super nice, set up quickly, and were very helpful in answering our questions. There was minimal cleanup needed with the exception of our clothes being pulled out to ensure the heat could circulate effectively and kill the bugs, larva, and especially their eggs. I had not slept well in weeks before the service and I finally got some peace (and a great nights rest) the night we came home. Chris was very helpful and delivered the rental equipment to my house at no charge and set it up for me and even let me keep it longer than stated. I followed his instructions to the letter using the heating equipment and checking the temperatures in the room to make sure every surface was at 130-140 degrees. I actually heated the room 3 times for 8 hours each time. This was on 10-27-18. On 11-27-18 more bugs was found in the room. I called Chris and he was on his way to seminar and said he would call me back (he never did). I contacted General Pest and they sprayed my entire house and gave me a 6 month guarantee. I feel that rental equipment with no guarantee is not a good remedy for this problem, no matter how helpful or nice the people are who rent it. I had to spend another $700 after paying $324 to Chris for the heating equipment that didn't solve the problem. I really wish I had contacted General Pest in the beginning and that's what I recommend to anyone who has this horrible problem!! Less

spotted some bugs on the couch didn’t know what they were so to be safe i called. even though it was after hours my call was taken immediately, and they even let me send a picture via text message so they could confirm it was bed bugs. scheduled an inspection the next morning and the job was done within a week. highly recommend! fast and professional. no signs of bugs since.

I was at my grandmothers helping her the other day and spotted a few bugs on her mattress. Not really knowing what they were I called BedBug BBQ and Chris came out first thing this morning. I called Bed Bug Barbeque 5/4/18 and the owner Chris Gonda came out to inspect our home. He was thorough in checking the house for potential signs of bugs. He also shared a lot of information with me so I could understand what was happening and what I could reasonably expect. I was worried because my friend had bed bugs treated at her apartment and may have inadvertently contaminated my house. After inspecting, Chris was also very honest in telling me that he did not believe there were actually any bed bugs at my home. He suggested and called NIP-it to schedule a dog to sniff the house for bugs. DJ the beagle came and cleared our house, we do not have bed bugs. Chris and his suggestion saved us thousands of dollars. ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION: I had first called Gene @ Certified Pest Control. The prior evening we found a bug that looked kind of like a bed bug but in reality wasn't one because when Chris visited later we realized it had wings and could fly. Gene quickly glanced at this false flag bug and assured us we had bed bugs and could heat treat our home for $3,200.00. He did not look for any further physical evidence of bugs or suggest a dog sniff inspection. We didn't actually have bed bugs and Certified was still going to take our money and treat the home unnecessarily. Thank God we called Bed Bug Barbeque! Chris @ Bed Bug Barbecue said he would heat treat our home for $2,100.00 (more than a third cheaper and a less invasive procedure than Certified!) and wouldn't do it unless there was confirmation of bugs via the NIP-it beagle. It was only after he made that suggestion that we realized the false flag bug was not a bed bug, further strengthening our belief that there wasn't actually any bed bug issue! I admire Chris Gonda for his integrity and honesty. He did the right thing and did not unnecessarily take my money. I've heard that hot steam doe's help rid of bed bugs I've wasted a lot of money on pesticides and I still have bed bugs. They are little blood sucking vampires. GEEWEEZ HELP!!!
