I'm on week 3 at GFT, and the only "regret" I have is not starting sooner. This fitness center has given me a positive outlet and increased my daily motivation. Is a welcoming environment and the coaches there are great!! They motivate you, and encourage you to move out of your comfort zone. I remember when one of the coaches would have me increase in weight for some exercises because he knew I had the strength to do so, that’s how I begin to really push myself and try more advance workouts. Sometimes I stop and think who would of thought that from lifting regular weights I would be able to lift barbells with weight on it. In addition I have always struggled and been conscious about my weight. I always thought by working out you could loose weight however the key to that is watching what you eat. With the guidance and help from Genesis I began to really understand that meal prepping is not about restricting yourself from eating like being on a diet but to eat healthier which makes you be more productive and feel better. This review is long overdue... I have been working out with Genesis Fitness Training for over a year now and could not be more pleased with my journey. The amount of vital information I've learned from the GFT family has honestly changed my life. If you are looking for one-on-one training sessions, group sessions or just someone to help you reach your goals, this is the right place for you. One-on-One Sessions: During the course of the year, my workout regiment with Genesis or Alicia has been a once a week session due to my busy lifestyle. I figured at least ONE good day of getting your butt kicked was better than nothing. These sessions consisted of a 5-10 minute warm-up, followed by a 45-minute circuit style training session. I don't think there was a day that a session was the same, everyday was different which kept things all the more fun and exciting. Takedown Challenges: I took part in one of GFT's month-long Takedown Challenges, that significantly helped with my bad eating habits. There's so much misleading/incorrect information everywhere, that it gets difficult to know what to believe or will work best for you. Doing this challenge helped me find an eating routine, that when used in conjunction with an active lifestyle - made the weight come off so much faster! Group Sessions: I wish I could have done more of these (work sucks) but incorporating a couple group sessions throughout my journey, not only helped with my fitness goal but gave me another level of encouragement. These sessions are the same circuit style workout and extremely empowering since you have more people motivating you, because you share the same goal :) Over the course of a year I have lost 40 lbs and dropped four dress sizes. i am very proud to say I am a part of the GFT family and sincerely thank Gen & Alicia for helping me feel comfortable in my own skin again. Genesis Read is one of the greatest trainers I have ever worked with. He is attentive and on top of his game! I have worked with many trainers before and they have supplied me with a nutrition plans and a set work out. Working with Genesis he supplied me more than just a nutrition plan and is on call to provide any type of meal plan. The best part is he gets creative with it. When I am shopping I can give him a call and he will walk me threw the nutritional supplements I need to be taking to get the best results. Not only does he provide a solid work out he changes it up every time, making it fun to try new work outs and focusing on a different muscle group.
