Other than yoga, this is the longest I’ve consistently worked out! I have learned to change the “I had a hard day, I deserve this dessert”, to “I deserve to feel my best, my kids deserve my best, which doesn’t include sugary crap”. I’ve always known how food impacts your health, and always knew in theory it’s important to workout, but this is the first time I’ve stuck with it long enough to see and feel real results. Sure, I’ve lost inches, but the energy and endurance I have is what I love most in this journey so far. I also was a great excuse maker before. Now, at the busiest, craziest, least-sleep-I’ve-ever-gotten-in-my-life year, I consistently get myself up early and start the day off with a great workout. I couldn’t do it without Patrick, nothing like having a husband who’s your biggest fan and motivator. I’ll add, seeing my parents who, one took care of themselves physically, and only passed away after months of finding out about a too-far-gone organ issue, the other parent slowly doing less and less physically over the years, is now wheelchair bound in a nursing home. One of the greatest things you can do for your kids is TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. This is not a selfish thing. Really enjoy the group/team environment. The workouts are doable yet challenging and don’t take hours to do. Also offer several challenges which have been great motivators for me.

Just finished up a 6 week challenge with Calvin and crew. I would suggest anyone to get over to Verus and join the workouts. The coaches and members are all great. A variety of workouts keep the exercise experience fresh and help to keep you from getting burned out or bored. Join the team and take back your fitness.

I started this program with the 6 week challenge. I was scared that I wouldn't make it and that I would be out of place. The people attending and the coaches make you feel welcome and encourage you every step of the way! I also throughly enjoy that you start every workout with a prayer and you end it with a prayer.
