I saw this doctor for the 1st time on Feb 21st. On my first visit, every one was nice and polite. She corrected the payment and apologized. Very small congested waiting room, not appealing. I was surprised to see the weighing scale so close to the door that leads to the exam rooms. The exam room that I waited in for the doctor had dirty seat chairs, not attractive at all, shabby looking. The doctor was nice. After reviewing the CD of my MRI, and talking with me, he recommended an injection for me. The Business Office Manager checked me out with very little instructions/information written on the back of a paper. There was no print out of my visit, nothing online to view. The only way to communicate with the doctor and his staff is by phone calls or text. One week later, I was scheduled for the injection at Townsend Memorial Surgery Center on FM 2920. The doctor was late arriving, I had to wait a very long time. The injection did not give me any relief. I am still experiencing pain. My 2nd appointment was with the doctor's assistant on March 13th. They had ordered a back brace for me to try. She showed me how to put on the brace, and rushed me out the door. She did not show me the correct positioning of the brace for the best comfort. The brace is extremely large, heavy, and very uncomfortable. It made my back hurt more. Several calls and text messages to the office went unanswered. I didn't feel Iike I was getting the support I deserved from the staff, poor communication. Disappointed with their lack of response, I had my medical records faxed over to a different doctor. Less

The worst doctor even does not recommend. He prescribes medicine that you are allergic to even though it’s in your chart. He don’t listen and just want to give you meds and injection you.

After a little more than 2 1/2 years I am finally pain free all because of Dr. Baumgartner!! I had been in pain for 29 years, and my primary doctor referred me to him. I had heard from a friend who had the spinal cord stimulator put in and how it relieved his pain. After having 3 surgeries to my L-4 L-5, from 1992-1998, I had no disc left due to Degenerative disc disease, I had to have a titanium cage put in at the same level. They had to go thru my stomach, due to so much scaring in my back. Going thru my stomach was major surgery due to having all my organs moved out so they could get to the spine and L-4 L-5, then it was all placed back and a mesh put over all before being stitched back up. My stomach has never been the same since. Between 1999 and 2019, I have had Physical Therapy, been addicted to opioids, chiropractors, trying so many different drugs. NOTHING EVER WORKED! I WAS JUST RUNNING AROUND IN A FOG! So when I moved here, and met Dr. Baumgartner…… we began our pain free journey! Dr. Baumgartner inserted the Nevro H-10 Spinal Cord Stimulator. On the 7th day of having it in, I woke up with almost zero pain level. I could not wait to have the permanent one in. Weeks later the permanent was placed and I was on my way, fast forward 2 years plus, I can now say I am 99.9% pain free!! Last summer my neck had been acting up from a wreck back in 2006. Three herniated discs, I did not want surgery but after trying all routes, and having electrical shock feelings going to my fingers, it was time for surgery again. I woke up from surgery and they had to do four levels, not three. So last summer I spent all my time in a neck brace, and ended back taking meds again!! With Dr. Baumgartner and his staff, it’s now March and at my appointment today, first time since 1998, I am 99.9% pain free thru my entire body! Life is good!! I started seeing Dr Baumgardner in 2021. In pain constantly since May 2005 even though I had seen multiple doctors across several specialties. Dr Baumgardner’s treatments worked and the specialists he referred me to were top notch. I’m pain-free the majority of the time now.

Dr.Baumgartner is warm, caring and most of all he listens! He is very clear on a game plan to get you well. The office staff is kind polite and always know my name. I would highly recommend him.

I was very happy with experience, he was able to get me in right away and helped to access my pain and get me started on treatment.

Patients beware. He will abandon you and not sufficiently meet your pain level needs. He will also give you spinal injections and never give out any after care instructions and if you ask anything about the relief after the procedure he will tell you “don’t worry, we’ll have great results”.

Less than a week and one major ate a of pain is almost gone! No pain meds at all. All of the staff is awesome. Great doctor.

His staff operates in the same way with care and concern that lets you know that it's going to be okay. I have been under him for a couple of years and my health has improved and for that I am very grateful. I recommend Dr. Baumgartner every chance I get because he is a great doctor.

Dr. B is thorough, helpful, and caring. He and his staff go the extra mile to tend to the patient's needs. Whether it be dealing with insurance, a referral, or prompt scheduling, they are always willing to help.

I’m grateful we found Dr Baumgartner! I highly recommend him because he is caring, timely and brought out of the box solutions for some really bad pain issues. While it is still classified as a "rare disorder", it is still very debilitating, and according to the NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders) as "having no cure, and extremely debilitating". And says "Unfortunately, the pain of AA may rival or exceed that of metastatic bone cancer and require high dose opioids including those administered by injection, suppository and implanted intrathecal pumps." And they just always seemed to think I was making my pain sound worse than it was, when in fact, I was resentful that my spinal cord injury required pain management medications, in the first place, if i wanted to lead any resemblance of a 'normal' life. I did not want to need those medications at all. When, if they were more knowledgeable on AA, they probably would have strongly cautioned me NOT to take myself off the medications, at my last appointment w them. But without being educated in pain mgmt myself, I did not have this type of knowledge at that time. Less
