We unfortunately had to tear down our garage due to another company’s shoddy workmanship, built before we purchased our house. Gecko was highly rated and came in substantially cheaper than the other quotes, including demolition. Derrick and crew made quick work of the project. Demolition was done in a single day. The concrete was poured and finished perfectly, and they even brushed the curb wall. It was amazing to watch the crew put the garage up so quickly. Framing, siding, roofing, electrical and OH door was done in three days. The attention to detail was great, and Derrick kept us informed with each phase of the build. I contacted Derrick and received a quote but I would have to wait until 2021 to have my project completed. During the fall/winter, I emailed Derrick every now and then with some follow-up questions. His responses were very thorough and all of my questions were answered. Towards the end of winter, Derrick came by and surveyed the site and we started ironing out the details of the build. I was told my garage would probably be built at the end of June or early July with the current waitlist (which is exactly when it was finished). I was advised of the build start date two weeks before construction started. This allowed me to clear anything from the parking pad that needed clearing. When the job started, things moved quickly. I was impressed with all the crew members that worked on my garage. The concrete crew was very detailed and took their time to ensure everything was done properly. The overall garage quality is fantastic. Inspectors, friends, and family members have all noted that the quality of the garage is "above and beyond" what you would expect. I would highly recommend Gecko Projects to anyone looking to have a garage built. * I received my quote in 2020; when wood prices skyrocketed in 2021, Derrick sent an email stating that he would still honour the 2020 quotes.
